Description:
Our Cantilever Umbrellas are the best choice for your home when you need to utilise the maximum amount of shade from your canopy. Instant Shade’s Cantilever umbrellas have the main post mounted to one side of the canopy, removing a center pole and opening up your space. They rotate 360-degrees allowing flexible shade and can also be tilted along the mast to block out low afternoon sun. Cantilever umbrellas are the perfect choice for pool and spa areas.
Our beautiful cantilever umbrellas have a unique “nautical” feel and are the ultimate designer addition to your outdoor area. You will simply not find a better looking cantilever umbrella on the market.
The umbrella frames are marine-grade anodised aluminium, meaning no rust, chipping or paint flaking to worry about. The canopies are made of water repellent and UV-resistant 100% solution dyed PolyOlefin and 100% solution dyed Premium Acrylic Canvas. We stock standard colours, though premium and limited edition colours can be made to order.
Our Cantilever umbrellas range in size from 2.8m Square to 4m Octagonal.

Aurora Cantilever Umbrella Bases & Accessories:
All bases and accessories can be purchased separately through our online store.
1. Spigot (Included)
A marine-grade 316 stainless steel spigot is included with every Eclipse & Aurora cantilever umbrella. It can be bolted directly to a concrete slab – no additional base plate required.
2. Countersunk Concrete Screws
Concrete screws are the quickest and easiest way to install an umbrella spigot to an existing concrete slab. We have sourced premium 316 stainless steel concrete screws from Germany.
They are M10 x 120mm. They are countersunk to fit in the spigot fixing holes perfectly and allow the umbrella to rotate around without obstruction. These are available to purchase as a set of 4.
3. Base plate
The spigot that is included with the umbrella can be fixed directly to a concrete slab. However you may still wish to use a base plate for the following reasons:
3. Inground Sleeve
The inground fitting is used to install an umbrella in a garden bed, lawn or any other soft surface or a paved area with dirt or soil under the pavers (not concrete).
A hole is dug and filled with concrete to create a footing – the hole should be a minimum of 40cm wide and 70cm deep and belled out at the bottom for extra stability. The inground fitting is set in the footing. Once the concrete is set (approx 2-3 days depending on weather conditions) you can attach the umbrella spigot to the inground fitting.
4. 900 Heavy Duty Base
A strong and attractive freestanding cantilever umbrella base in silver with internal caster wheels that are discreetly hidden inside the base. Our cantilever umbrellas are big and wind-rated, so we have engineered this moveable base to effectively support your cantilever umbrella while allowing you to easily move it around from one location to another.
Weighs approx. 160-180kg once filled with gravel/builder mix (not included).

5. Barrel extension
The Barrel extension is used to raise a cantilever umbrella out of dirt, sand or tan bark so it doesn’t cause any damage to the rotating mechanism or just to give some extra height to the umbrella if needed. It is 300mm high and 215mm in diameter, and is black powder coated steel.
The Barrel extension is designed to be bolted to an in-ground sleeve or base plate.
6. Stabiliser Bars
Looking to further secure your Eclipse or Aurora Umbrella?

7. LED Light
Our rechargeable LED lights comes with matching clips to attach the light to the canopy frame on any location on the arms of the umbrella. You will need to plug in and charge the batteries before use and should last approx 6 hours.
8. Protective Cover – Free with Umbrella
Although we have designed our cantilever umbrellas to last and have manufactured the canopies using the highest quality outdoor fabrics, we still recommend using a cover-bag to protect your umbrella through the winter months. The cover-bag helps to keep the canopy clean and free from bird-droppings and other unwanted nasties. It will prolong the life of your umbrella and keep it looking its best for many years to come.
